The shoot, and the model, who started it all. This was the first time that everything came together: big, new, & expensive camera; expensive strobes; a hired location —

And my first professional model that I ever photographed, Jen Znack.

Unlike later in my career, everything here was implied with no serious skin shown, and my own nervousness was assuaged by an abundance of cigarettes.

But why did I worry? Jen, a trained actress as well as model, was superb, and my instincts about photography, and how to approach it, paid off: two shots were given awards by the Italian photography site JustB&W, and that determined the path that I would follow — Thank You, Jen!
